It is a good idea to invest in an organic cauliflower if you can. The herbicide, glyphosate has been proven to cause death of some gut bacteria. Gut bacteria are very important when it comes to the effectiveness of some cancer therapies, especially Immunotherapy.

Ghee can be successfully used in the LMD as it only contains 1mg of methionine per tablespoon. Ghee is an amazingly nutritious food which also helps the gut function by increasing the amount of butyrate in the gut. Butyrate is a gut healing substance that is produced by gut bacteria when they consume different types of fibers. Ghee has superpowers as it is a source of butyrate itself. Ghee is not classed as a dairy food as the milk or ‘dairy’ portion has been removed.

The coconut milk suggested in all of the LMD recipes is the standard tinned coconut milk, not the dilute tetra pack milk.
